You’ll find plenty of photographers who offer in-home newborn sessions, and handful like myself who offer in their own custom/private studio just for them. After 14 years behind the lens, I love to focus newborns entirely on studio sessions for this exact stage, and here’s why so many new mamas tell me they’re glad they chose it.

A calm, no-stress space No tidying the house, no worrying about window light or background clutter. You walk in, everything is ready, and you get to just be with your baby. (

Beautiful, consistent natural light The large windows in my studio in Long Beach (a central and easy drive from anywhere in Orange County and Los Angeles county too) give that soft, creamy light all day long, perfect for capturing the soft and delicate time it is bringing home a new baby. 

All about the new baby and you! No props, no fuss just you and your newborn. 

And a fourth bonus here, A LOT of new moms tell me how nice getting out of the house for a little drive around that 2-3 week mark when its time to come in- sometimes just getting out ( of course into a controlled safe environment for a new baby!) a bit just feels so good after being inside for a while!
